During a high-school graduation party, Chi Shang was chosen along with Bai Chen to pretend to be gay for a week as part of a punishment game, and whomever was the first to attempt calling it quits would be the loser of this bet. So as a lifelong headstrong Chinese man, Chi Shang would never allow himself to admit defeat—let alone doing so to Bai Chen of all people.
