Libraté is designed to help readers track, organize, and discover translated web novels with complete transparency. This policy describes the information we process through our web platform and companion browser extension.

No Ad Tracking
We never track your web browsing outside supported novel reader domains. We do not sell your personal data or browsing history to third-party ad networks.
Zero Keystroke Logging
The extension only extracts chapter headings and progression tokens from novel text containers. It never accesses input fields, passwords, or personal messages.
User Controlled Sync
You can pause tracking per novel, ignore specific domains entirely, clear stored reading snapshots, or request full account deletion at any time.
1. Information Collected by the Browser Extension
The Libraté browser extension operates locally on your device to detect reading progress on supported web novel websites. When you read a chapter on a supported site, the extension processes:
Chapter & Novel Metadata: The title of the chapter, detected chapter number, and novel title from the page structure.
Reading Duration: Active reading time intervals (measured while the tab is active and visible) to calculate reading pace and session statistics.
Site Origin: The host domain of the supported reader site to select the corresponding extraction rules from our open registry.
Authentication Tokens:A secure session token synchronized from your signed-in Libraté account to authorize reading status updates to your personal library.
2. Information Collected on the Web Platform
When you create an account and interact with the Libraté website, we store:
Account Details: Display name, email address, and avatar provided during authentication (such as Google or Discord OAuth).
Personal Library: Shelf arrangements, reading list statuses (Reading, Completed, Dropped, Plan to Read, On Hold), bookmarks, and personal notes.
Community Contributions: Public novel reviews, ratings, comments, feature suggestions, and translation group submissions.
3. How We Use Your Information
All processed data is utilized strictly for service delivery:
Synchronizing reading progress across your browser and personal Libraté library.
Displaying reading history, statistics, and chapter milestone notifications.
Providing customized chapter release updates for novels in your reading list.
Aggregating anonymous catalog statistics (such as popular genres and reading trends).
4. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We only interact with trusted infrastructure providers required to operate the platform:
OAuth Providers: Google and Discord for secure user login authentication.
Cloud Hosting & Database: Secure cloud infrastructure to persist library records and cache catalog search indexes.
5. Your Rights and Data Controls
You maintain complete ownership of your reading data:
Export Library: You can export your reading lists and shelf collections.
Clear Extension Storage: You can wipe local extension history and cached snapshots through extension settings.
Account Deletion: You may request full account deletion, which permanently removes your personal profile, reading history, and private shelf data.
