Terms of Service

By accessing or using Libraté, including our web application, catalog services, and official browser extension, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

Last Updated: August 10, 2026 · Version 1.2

1. Platform Scope & Acceptable Use

Libraté is a web novel library management, bookmarking, and discovery platform. Users may create custom shelves, submit community reviews, and track chapter progress across supported translation sources.

  • You agree to provide accurate account details and maintain the security of your credentials.
  • You agree not to post abusive, unlawful, harassing, or defamatory reviews or community comments.
  • You agree not to attempt to bypass platform rate-limits or disrupt service operation through automated scraping bot abuse.

2. Novel Indexing & Content Disclaimer

Libraté indexes web novel metadata (titles, authors, synopsis text, tags, and chapter release links). Libraté does not host or store full copyrighted novel manuscripts on our servers.

All external chapter release links redirect visitors to the respective official publishers, translation groups, or source platforms.

3. User Generated Content & Reviews

You remain the owner of your reviews, shelves, and other submissions on Libraté. By posting them, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, format, and moderate your public contributions across the platform.

  • You confirm you have the right to submit the content and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
  • Reviews, ratings, and shelf recommendations you post may be displayed publicly, including on novel pages and community shelves.
  • We reserve the right to moderate, flag, or remove reviews that violate community standards or contain excessive spoiler content without warning tags.

4. Account Termination & Suspension

Libraté reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our community policies, engage in malicious activity, or repeatedly attempt copyright infringement.

5. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Libraté. By creating an account you represent that you meet this requirement. Accounts believed to belong to younger users may be closed.

6. No Guarantee of Third-Party Links

Libraté aggregates metadata and links from many sources. We cannot guarantee that external links are accurate, current, or working, and we are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites you reach through our catalog.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the catalog is error-free, that our service will be uninterrupted, or that it will meet your requirements.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Libraté is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the service.

9. Disputes & Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States of America. Before any formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for 30 days.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms; the latest version always governs. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

11. Severability

If any clause of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest of these terms remain in full effect.
