Pride and Prejudice: The Poor Princess

A woman must be well-versed in music, singing, painting, dancing, and modern languages. Her appearance, posture, voice, tone, and manner of speaking must all possess a certain quality. In addition to all of this, she should have some real knowledge, read more books, and increase her wisdom. This is Darcy’s idea of a perfect woman (excerpt from the original work). Now, imagine an ancient noble princess from the past suddenly inhabiting Mary’s body. How would Darcy react to his ideal woman standing before him? Author has something to say: Some might say that my female lead is a bit “overpowered,” but I can only respond that music, chess, calligraphy, painting, needlework, and etiquette were essential skills for noblewomen in ancient times. It would be odd if she didn’t know anything! Alright, after several days of cramming, I admit that this story is a bit of a self-indulgent fantasy with an all-powerful heroine.
