Xiao Yuanbao was a pitiful little ger. His mother passed away when he was three, leaving him and his often-absent hunter father to depend on each other for survival. The hunter was so worried he couldn’t sleep. It was around this time that a childhood engagement he had arranged for Yuanbao came knocking on their door. Hiding behind the door, little Yuanbao saw a new boy in the house-tall and sturdy, with an arm nearly as thick as Yuanbao’s leg. He thought his father had brought home another “older brother.” And seeing how this one was even bigger and stronger than the last, Yuanbao was certain he was going to be bullied again. Frightened, he began to cry: “I don’t want another brother. Make him go away.” But the boy didn’t get angry.
